OK... VA is about to decide on IU, all I needed to send them was the VCAA and copies of the SSDI Award and medical reports. I had two assessments with the Disability Determination Service, one physical (spent about 10 minutes with a doc... tuning fork, and rubber mallet were his instruments, he gave me the "once over", had me touch my toes and stuff), his report basically states nothing is wrong with me and I can work, despite everything the VA and Primary Care Physician has on file confirming my physical condition from TBI.
The other assessment was cognitive, very thorough... diagnosis in short was Chronic PTSD with a poor prognosis, something I've never been assessed on before (OK, I've been in denial)... I have another cognitive exam with VES next week strictly for PTSD that the VA arranged for without my knowledge... OK, I know I have to send in this paperwork because this is all they need to rule on IU however... I am concerned that the report from the physical exam I mentioned above will hurt my claim.
What should I do? Any advice is appreciated, I just don't want to get hosed on this.
Haven't worked since December 2010... Awarded new rating of 80% in Feb 2011... Awarded SSDI in May of 2011.
