Hi everyone
I was scheduled last week for three C&P exams for ptsd, tinnitis and general. I filed for unemployability back in June. I started my tinnitis claim over a year ago and back in January I had a C&P for that which has been in developement stage for awhile, So I had the same Audiologist and she just cut a pasted the last medical opinion she gave me which was that my tinnitis was caused by the military. The PTSD exam went very well and when I went for the general and probably the most important exam,The doctor point blank told me I was unemployable.
I went back yesterday to get a copy of my C&P report and this is what the doctor had said.
This patient is unable to continue performing activities consistent with his work experience and prior training in order to maintain gainful employment. The patient is unemployable at least as likely as not secondary to mental changes secondary to traumatic evenets during the vietnam war.
I am also on social security disability,
Any input would be appreciated.

The C & P General sounds very promising, of course no one can second guess the VARO. But here is my
story on my last C & P for IHD. My cardiologist must have returned the form saying I didn't have IHD.
My family physician diagnosed CAD. The C & P I had was with a family Dr. at the VA. He wrote the
mets btwn 3 & 5 and repeated what had been determined in tests with my private Cardiologist. He
did not specify either IHD or CAD. However about 3 months after C & P I was awarded 60% for IHD.
I do have a pacemaker and apparently had what they call a silent heart attack at some point, but
age not determined, from test of my private Cardiologist. Figured my chances were not great, but
like I said, no one can second guess the VARO. Good Luck.

Stever, I think the C & P report is GOLDEN and should grant you TDIU.

As Harv said no one can really predict what the VA will do.

If you get SSA solely for the PTSD, then that award might garner you a better EED then the date of the formal TDIU claim. However the only go back a year for more retro.

I always use my husbands case to show what I mean.

1992 He applied for higher PTSD rating and then sent TDIU form in.Nov 1992.(he was 30% SC for PTSD.)

1993 He got SSDI award for PTSD with EED of Nov 1, 1991.

1997 VA made a posthumous award of 100% P & T solely for PTSD with EED, not from date of his claim but from the SSDI date- EED 1991.

It was the earliest date his entitlement arose.

Thanks Berta, I was hoping to possibly have you reply with a comment. I do read alot of your quotes and I just want to say thanks for replying, it's very encouraging. Do you think this will be P&T?
