Houston regional office is by far the worst office to deal with, and has one of the biggest backlogs. In my case it took over a year just to get a c/p exam. I have had a de novo review request in the system for 15 months now and most regional offices deal with de novo's within a year...

I filed my original claim with the Houston RO 1/23/2011 with 7 contentions plus Tdiu. First C/P exam was 7/6/2011 and C/P exam on 11/1/2011. It will be 15 months on 4/23/12 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,and still waiting.

Contact the print & broadcast media and ask if they support the troops.

Then tell them how long you and others are waiting and the adverse impact it's having.

One other question about this VARO...... I've only been there once, but are all of the VARO's so chaotic in the lobby/intake areas with such long lines?

ATLANTA, is so slow i don't even want to talk about that. My claim has been there since sep 21, 2010. Went to ready for decision back in Jun 2011, and back to development in Jan 2012. so, the wait is long just about every where for some claims.

I have both my appeal and recent increase at the houston office. I see my DAV rep at least three times a month, and the only answer they can give me is be patient.
