Got a letter from my VSO today. Currently at 30%, increased to 70%.

Back rating went from 20% to 40%.

20% each for radiculitis and radiculopathy for lower left leg.

10% for GERD

added to my existing 10% for tinnitus.

Nothing showing on eBenefits yet. Figure it takes higher level approval due to the retro amount which is right around $14k

Nice to know it doesn't take a second signature.

Still showing "Pending Decision Approval". Been stuck there for two weeks. VSO had to have seen it Tuesday or Wednesday.

Guess I'll have to wait till Monday now.

Still working. But for how long is the question. It's getting harder and harder to go to work each day. I've got a fairly strenuous job. I'm a letter carrier with a walking route that's about 10 miles long and has over 3000 steps to climb and descend. Had to come home early today due to the pain.

Being a hardheaded Marine I'm going to work as long as I can. When the pain gets too bad or the meds to control the pain start to affect me in a negative way I'll call it quits.

You need a Doc to take you off of work. If not you will be spinning your wheels.

Always better to ask your doc's first and see if they suggest/agree with this,
as it will add support for an increase.

Oh I'll be sure to have at least one Doctor recommend that I quit working when that time comes. I don't need a DUII for driving while stoned on pain meds.

I'll need the documentation for OPM medical retirement, SSDI and application for IU.

I'm hoping that the PO will tell me I'm medically unfit to fulfill the requirements of the job. That would make life a lot easier.

Went down and filed for depression and ED this afternoon. Guess I just can't have enough fun.

Personally I would have let the most current decision and receipt of compensation
completely finish prior to submitting claims for additional issues.
Perhaps this has to do with my trust issues : - )

I do know that. The depression is noted in my records for the past 18 months. I need the treatment or I will end up killing myself.

It's a funny thing. Got the retro. $12,999. But according to eBenefits the payment deposited today is still the $435 and not the $1380. Guess I'll have to go to the credit union and find out.

The retro pay is in the bank.

I filed for SSDI yesterday as part of filing for disability retirement from OPM. I'll be filing for TDIU soon.

The pain in my back and legs has gotten to the point I can no longer do the job I've had for 20 years.

I am/was a letter carrier with a walking route. Pills and guts can only get one so far. I've gone beyond that point and now I'm done.
