Does anyone know what the estimated time frame for claims at the Atlanta ro?

To long, i mean real long. My claims have been in the system for 23 and half months. Now you tell me how long is to long.

Initial claim (2004) completed in 4 months (7 issues, SMRs were lost as well).

13 claims since 2004 (11 increases, 2 new claims): overall average = 1 year, 9 months 15 days
(some issues increased more than once)

2 appeals:
1st from a 2008 decision, appeal date 2009, still waiting on DRO review (3 years 5 months 29 days)
2nd from 2009, appeal dated 2011, also waiting DRO review (1 year 4 months 22 days)

not that I'm counting or anything...

what happens when they could not find your STR or SMR. Atlanta, keep sending claim back asking for STR( said they can not locate them) told me and have it on some of my decision that they had them., but now said that was a mistake.

Do they decide the claim without the STR or it stays in LIMBO. these are secondary issuses and Reconsideration ( that would amout in high$$)

Tough to remember; I think I told them that in xxxx document, they stated they had them and then I contacted the medical facility at my last base to see if they had anything on record. They sent me a statement saying that the records were sent to ATL VARO on (can't remember) date and to decide as quickly as possible. One of my appeals would be a no-brainer if they had my records and I've spent the last 8 years getting evidence from the treating physicians along with IMOs from them as well. NOT fun. When I was a two-striped airman, my supervisor told me to get copies of everything they do just in case they lose my records. I thought he was a nut-case. Turns out he was right. No comfort for either of us at this point, but is there any way you can contact your previous providers and see what they can send you???

i have sent them everything that i have. I have a copy of my vol I treatment record but not two and three. I have sent them all of my civilians records. all the evidence that i have add up to compensation, but the want the military treatment file. I have civillian records all the way back to one month after dicharge of the military, so i dont know what the problem is.

My claim is about 18 months and counting with atlanta I just went into prep for decision again so we will see how long it takes now.

Does anyone know what the estimated time frame for claims at the Atlanta ro?

I filed in August of 2010 and had c&p exams that were badly flawed in January 2011. I finally had proper C&P exams in June 2012. Was awarded at the end of June 2012. Almost two years.

well, i am having my 2nd C&P exam next week. so i hope they decide my claim in my favor.

I filled my claim feb 16 2011 and it just closed last week got my letter friday last week still waiting on the money

Anyone had a recent ATL VARO DRO single-issue claim resolved? If so, how long did it take? Thanks!
