The MWR ( Moral, Welfare & Recreation ) services are great. We flew into Denver once, rented a car, drove up to F. E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne Wyo., and stopped by the MWR. Rented tents, sleeping bags, cooking utensils, fishing rods and tackle for a few dollars, and drove to the Black Hills for a fantastic R&R. Once stayed on the top of Kilaweai Volcano, Big Island of Hawaii at a Military R&R center. Got a cabin, mess hall privileges, boxed lunches... Had a blast.... We have been all over the free word, using the military privileges that comes along with that ID card...

To tell you the truth I have never go much advantage from having the card. Waiting in line to get on and off the local Air base is not worth anything they have to offer. It is a nice form of I.D. I used to get a break on movies and now I don't even get that. When the military is through with you they drop you like a hot rock. Ask any retiree what he thinks about the way the DOD treats military retirees. I don't think most feel appreciated. They get a small pension and Tricare. Whhheeeeeeee! Don't retirees have to pay for tricare at some point?

Currently 100 percent schedular rating or a TDIU rating is required to get the Armed forces Identification / MWR card.

I do believe that commissary must be 100% . But You have state benefits that start at 10% in some states for property tax and various different Items. Also at 70% you are allowed to request TDIU that may raise you to 100 % Read the TDIU forum for the guide.

What if any are the benefit differences between the two. At what percentage are you allowed commisary priviliges on base?
