I am a disabled veteran, just married and my wife just graduated from college. She is going into business as an Independent contractor. We have an client that have just offered her a contract but we need a lawyer to look it over and they cost a lot. While me being to only source of income in the family and starting a new business. We cannot afford a lawyer for $250.00 an hour and was wondering if it is any veterans out there that specialize in business that can help us to look over this contract. It will help us to give us an start that we need to get extra income and then we can afford an lawyer. I am writing this with and heavy heart because it is hard asking for this kind of help. But I ,,,, we need it.

Score is supposed to be helpful to Veterans. I have found that they are not that helpful in California.

I would contact Score in your area. Also, just a thought, if your wife's business in only her name? The reason I ask this is that if your name is also on the business, now it is not only owned by a woman, but a disabled Vet also. I would also suggest that you put a question just like you did here up on the message board at your local church. You might get a personal response from someone in your local community. I hope this helps and good luck.
