93. I have three injuries rated at 10, 30 and 50 percent. Why aren’t I paid a for 90% disability?

In VA math, your total disability is calculated as follows:
10% of 100% = 10% (100% - 10% = 90%)
30% of 90% = 27%; (90% - 27% = 63%)
50% of 63% = 31.5%; now, add together 10% + 27% + 31.5% = 68.5%, rounded UP to 70%.
(*Note, .5 and above rounds UP; .4 and below rounds DOWN.)

Can anyone tell me how the this number will be rounded?

64.5 = 65 = 70%
64.5 = 64 = 60%

VA "fuzzy math" is just another way for the VA to cheat veterans out of their compensation.

I think you should be rounded up to 70% but don't count on the VA doing without a few kicks in the ass from you.

I get 68.5 or 70%.

50% off your 100% = 50% left (-50%)
30% off your 50% = 35% left (-15%)
10% off your 35% = 31.5% left (-3.5%)\

Round up to 70%. You start with the Highest Disability and subtract from there! They don't add up, but subtract from the percentage left over.


VA Math

[The VA "fuzzy math" cheats you double. The first way, has already been mentioned. Here is the second way:
A 100% disabled Vet (single)gets $2673 per month. So, a 50% disabled Vet would get half of that, at
$1336, right? Wrong. You have to apply the fuzzy math and then you get $770. Thats right. According to the VA 50% of $2673 is $770. If you use an "unfuzzy" calculator, you will find that
$770 is 28.8% of $2673. So, 50% is not 50%, it is really 28.8 %.
I am not sure at how they ever did that..I think they rounded down, to the next lower dollar, and then kept on doing that each year..cheating the Veterans a little more each year, so, now a "50%" Vet..is really a 28,8% Veteran..and they wonder why they call the VA corrupt....

I have often wondered about that. Of course since the Harding administration politicians have been ripping off Vets, and diverting funds. Check history.
