I went to see my VA shrink the other day and noticed a few things. 1st he as if I minded if he let a student sit in with our session? My response was no way, ( I hardly like fillet my like open to him, why in the world would he think I'd do it with the elephant in the room?) 2nd He noticed he was giving me enough meds to kill me not alone if I had forgotten I'd took them already and took them twice I would be dead. He acted with a sense of urgency take those meds and throw them away soon as you get home! and cut these in half and I'm going to give you XX for anxiety. Does this strick anyone as odd?............... Thanks Rich

Sometimes in the mental fog we do not always understand all that they are telling us especially if we are a non verbal type and it should be written down. What was his reaction when you told him you did not want Company? If he did not make a big deal about it than I think he was fair. The VA is trying to add more counselors on and one of the ways they do it is let them sit in with their "A" Team.

You probably should double check on your Meds and I would guess from what you said he thinks that you are over medicated due to anxiety and that he is prescribing more for anxiety and less for others. Making big changes in Medication can be very tricky.
