IF YOU HAVE WHENT TO THE VOCREHAB SCREENING WERE YOU TAKE ALLTHE TESTS AND SIT DOWN WITH A COUNSELER. PLEASE GET A COPY UNDER THE FOIA. THIS CAN BE VERY GOOD EVIDENCE FOR YOUR CLAIM AND FOR SSD. I USED THIS EVIDENCE FOR MY CLAIM AND I FEEL IT HELPED ALOT. VOCREHAB SAID I WAS UNEMPOLYABLE AND IT WAS NOT FEESABLE FOR ME TO BE IN THE PROGRAM DUE TO MY PTSD. I SENT THIS TO THE VA AND SSD. I BELIEVE IT WAS THIS THAT PUSHED MY CLAIM OVER THE TOP ALONG WITH MY MEDICAL EVIDENCE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO AD TO YOUR EVIDENCE AND ARE ELGIBLE FOR VOCREHAB I SUGGEST TO ATLEAST APPLY AND GO THE SCREENING PROCESS. ITS FREE AND THE EVIDENCE CAN BE REALLY GOOD FOR YOUR CLAIM. SUGGEST TO THE COUNSELAR THAT YOU DONT THINK VOCREHAB WILL HELP OR YOU CANNOT FINISH OR START THE PROGRAM DUE TO YOU SC. THE COUNSELAR WILL RIGHT OUT A REPORT AND YOU CAN GET A COPY.

Another thing many used to use was a Social Workers evaluation about the feasibility for working. I think they called it an Industrial Report
Thanks for the tip.

It's agreed, after refusing to give me a CWT Job at the VA , due to my physical disabilities and limitations, which was against the CWT(Compensated Work Therapy) regs. I suggested to the Voc. Rehab. Coord. that he write a letter stating that due too my disabilities i do not qualify for Voc. Rehab. Services..He complied. Needless to say i ran that letter too the VARO and had it placed in my C-file in support of my claim(s). Didn't help much with SSD though, mmm. We all know how tough they can be. Just this vets experience. Peace, William
I tried to do that but by the time I had the non-emplyable paperwork my claim had been decided. TDIU anyway, imagine that.

Oddly enough, calnight, your tactic has a lot of success.

Any choice for sec.VA without QTC connections will certainly one step in the right direction.

I found the VA to be a bit stingy on the Rehab money when I wanted to further my education to stay employable. I had to pay out of pocket and glad I did. The person they sent me to see on one interview was barely holding it together. She had a friend just passed away, so I spent most of the session comforting her. Very odd. So the psychologist/case worker denies my request, and I scraped to get the money for school.

I did the same thing with my voc rehab couselor. Basically, after all the testing and my physical and mental condition there was nothing I could do and she said so in the letter to me. I used it as evidence.

Hello all. I am new here and hoping that I can help as well as get advice from others.
I was recently approved for VA voc rehab - long term employment services. I am enrolled in school and they are footing the bill. I didn't expect to be approved....it took 14 years to get a 10% SC rating. As I understand it, at 10% the VRC has to determine that your SC is a serious employment handicap. I have discussed this with the DAV and they are doing a increase request based on this..... and a variety of other things.
I just received another letter that my application for voc rehab has been received (the standard pre-orientation letter)... seriously?
I am attending classes online. I have a decent 2002 HP pavillion....but hitting my VRC up for a laptop. I live in a hurricane prone area. Last year we had to evacuate twice in a 2 week period (Gustav & Ike). So I approached my request as a proactive stance to avoid an overpayment situation - cross your fingers.
