I am unable to find the answer to the steps that are involved from application to rating decision.

Question, when is a C&P exam requested, if at all? Is it while the claim is at the review board or rating board?

I filed a claim last year November. Lots of correspondences between the VA and myself, including cathering medical evidence for the claims and such.
Once all the required paperwork was there, the materials where reviewed.

Here is what I got from the VA: [color="#8b0000"]Good news. Your claim was reviewed and then sent to the rating board on 10/15/08.
[/color][color="#000000"]Here is the response I got from them: [/color][color="#0000ff"]Once a rating is decided, the claim is sent to an authorizer to ensure the decision is processed correctly and in accordance with the law. Then you will be provided with the rating decision via letter. [color="#0000ff"]As we have mentioned in our prior correspondence, it would be difficult to provide a time frame as all claims are unique. Again, thank you for your patience.
