my case is supposedly having a secondary review and i should here something in about a month or two.....what does this mean? I am working with a dav representative and we applied in early february....she feels there should be no issues? Some background...my husband a Vietnam vet was 100%++for diabetes, renal failure on hemodialysis, strokes, PID,and seizures secondary to stroke thanks to Agent Orange! The office in Louisville said on average cases are taking 6-9 months and I would like to know why!!!

I take it that this is a DIC claim. If this is causing a hardship, have your service office file a Claim For Hardship. There is no time limit set for a DIC claim. It is based on the work load at the RO.

The RO in louisville is actually one of the better Ro's in the country for claims processing. They have only recently achieved this status as they do have a history but the management seem to do very well and they Keep the Veteran Population in KY somewhat satisfied with claim results.

Your DAV rep should stay on top of the claim. They have a person who works inside the regional office and can get information repidly.
