15% off of your basic service (not total bill) and 25% off of phones and accessories.

There is a new bill in Congress, is call the H.R. 1818. It's The Disabled Veterans Commissary and Exchange Store Benefits Act.
It's purpose is: "To amend title 10, United States Code, to extend military commissary and exchange store privileges to veterans with a compensable service-connected disability and to their dependents."
We should ask our DAV, Purple Heart, etc., etc., to get more info about this...

Yes, I hope too.... we should pass this info to every veteran...... If We all agree on this, the pressure to pass this bill will be higher, We need all the support frome Veteran Organizations too....

In response to the 15% discount and 25 % discount; this is correct. I had not read this post but today my wife and
I went into a Verizon store to purchase cell phones. The salesman asked if I was a veteran and gave us the discounts.

Wings,
I was asked for proof that I was a veteran. I showed my VA ID I use at the VA hospital. I hope it works for you as well.

For those asking for the Verizon wireless discount:
If the clerk looks puzzled when you ask for this 15% off of your primary number account remember he/she is young and is probably not a veteran. The Verizon discount code is 11718 for those compelled to assist the young Verizon person in providing your discount.

Thanks for the information. I got my account set up for it, just scanned in my VA id and sent the company and email. The information is on the web site. With the email address and all the information you need to include.
Good Luck

Glad I could help, guys. We are all here to help one another. I also understand that if you are getting any disability from the VA you can contact your home phone provider and ask about the "Lifeline" program. I got 25% off from Windstream. That is my local phone company who are not in the big cities (they specialize in rural phone service).
