Enterprise Car Rental will give all military and retirees and vets a 5% discount on car rentals. They've never even asked for my ID card. Maybe because I live in a military town. 5% isn't much....but every little bit helps.

Call an make a reservation before you rent the car. Over the last few months I have been renting cars from enterprise. I just thought about asking them for a discount, I made a reservation for Friday past and asked for a discount and they gave me 10% off. Had to go to C & P exam and my car has been acting up so I rented one for the day about $70 plus $20 in gas and got over half back.

How did you get over half back? I've made my reservation. I need one for this Thursday-Monday night. Going out of state for a baseball tournament and don't trust my car.

Oh.....good for you! Bummer for me. I highly doubt the baseball coach will be reimbursing me.

My nephew who lives in El Paso starts working for Enterprise in 2 Days. We rented from them in the old days when we were making trips as they had good rates and no mileage. If you live in Texas you drive a lot of miles.

Looks like in todays economy they pay a decent wage.

Back when I was still working, I traveled a LOT. I'd fly in to a client's location on Sunday afternoon, spend two weeks and fly back to Dallas on Friday. I did this, all over the world, but mostly in the North East (New York, New Jersey, CT, RI, Mass). Well, when I'd have work going on, say for example, Manhattan, I'd fly into HARTFORD, CT, pick up my rental from Enterprise and hop on I95 and be in NYC in 2 hours. The girls at the Enterprise rental place, kept my Cadillac parked behind the building, fueled up, washed and ready to go. I rented so much from Enterprise that they just charged me the regular car rate and upgraded me, kinda on a permanent basis........they still do. I rented from Enterprise at their Hartford location for almost 5 years, with a month off here and there to visit other clients elsewhere (Catholic Healthcare West was my biggest client on the left coast, and I'd go see them whenever they had work for me to do.).
