Does the notes the Primary Care doctor makes, and comments have any influence when your reviewed for rating %
Do they have the authority to read X ray and say you have a seperated Shoulder, this was what I was looking for.
I knew I had a problem, first time anyone agreed. Her response was not influence by what I said, it came from the reading of the X-Ray

A PCP can write a statement that can get you service connected for a condition such as a secondary condition to a SC condition. My PCP got me SC'ed for three conditions. If your PCP says you have a service connected back condition and there is nothing in your SMR's about a back injury then that won't help you much. A good PCP at the VA can open just about all doors. They can make statements and refer you.
If they don't like you then you get nothing.

be aware that all comments can be taken in consideration when your file is being rated, both from any exam, C & P or regular doctors appointment. If A doctor ask you how are you doing and you say I am fine, OK, I am all right VA can use this against you. I got in the habit of saying that I am hanging in there. Yes, the X-ray will prove you have a condition if the doctor says that she has reviewed your SMRs and it is her opinion that it is service related then you should not have a problem

Well, normally a PCP will send you, in your case, for x-rays, then the radiologist will read the films and make a diagnosis. But, if your PCP felt comfortable in reading and diagnosing from the films, then who are we to argue, right! 'Specially when the diagnosis is "in our favor"!
But, yes, your PCP can perform or have performed, tests that will sometimes clear the way for your claim (and completely do away with the need for C&P's).
My PCP has just written a report in which he plainly states that I have "loss of use of" both feet/ankles.....which will clear the way for me to be able to get an automobile with an automatic transmission. Thanks, doc!

She stated about my shoulder, that she would set me up for therapy, that in my favor, also said I had artritus in my knee, and swelling in my ankle, all from the X ray, this is all in favor, one for care and the other for claims???

Any VA physician who has anything to say in your favor is a good thing. You can also come right out and ask them to write a letter on your behalf. Address the points that you need, if you are going for certain benefits (like TDIU or P&T) have them state why you should get these and why.
Don't be afraid to ask...all they can do is say no, you're no worse for the wear.
