Is there anything i can do about not having enough credits
sharon
The number of work quarters or credits needed to qualify for disability will depend on a person's age at the time they become disabled. For example, younger individuals will require fewer work credits to qualify for social security disability. However, an individual must have at least six work credits to be insured for disability. If you are unsure regarding how many work quarters or credits you have, you should contact your local Social Security office or the toll free Social Security number (1-800-772-1213) for information.

well after doing some research i found that being under 31, all i would have to do is work half the time from the day of my disability back to the age of 21, i was 24 when i was diagnosed and i had worked from 17 til 6 months before i was 24...i think i may qualify

If you are married, get divorced. If you own ANY property (more than $2,000), get it out of your name.

Old Hippie,
Why do you advise this?

What has that got to do with it and why are you pulling up topics that are several months to even years old?

I cannot believe that anyone on Hadit would advice anyone here to get a divorce and try to cheat by hiding property. This is totally unacceptable.

Hadit is for helping Veterans and Families with their claims but without the fraud and deceit that was recommended.

Qualifications for SSD do not have any bearing on any property you own. SSD isn't "EARNED INCOME."

A qualified disabled person could have a million bucks in the bank and still get full SSD.
