can someone tell me what the right disability percentage for a disc degeneration?> i had a herniated disc on my first depolyment and got my 40% from the VA after three years i got out from the active duty army. then i joined the reserve to continue to finish my eight years but got deployed the 2nd time on my reserve unit. i re-inured my back again on my 2nd deployment and now its affecting my legs and it gets numb and weak and it also coz my neck pain. can any1 tell me how i should file this claim and appeal this from the VA? thank you.

Was the new injury to your lower back? What you describe seems like Sciatica. If it is from your lower back you have two claims one for he low back condition and one for the sciatica. The back is rated on the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.

Sharon is correct.
The problem your describing is called radiculpathy. It is the effected nerves radiating pain to the muscles they control.
I see a claim for increase related to tour #2. I see a claim for radiculpathy secondary to the DGD you currently have.
The regs state that associated neurological issues be rated separate .

Good luck
