I have been retired since 2005 and just recently received an increase in my service connected disability (80%-50%PTSD & 50% hearing loss). I can now file for unemployability; however the form requires information on previous earnings. Does the highest amount earned in last five years when I was working impact the outcome of my application?? When I was working my highest annual income was approximately 75k. Will this impact negatively on my application for unemployability??
Sorry I don't have an answer, but I'm in a similar situation but was earning even more money. I was fired from my job on 8 OCT09 because I have become very unreliable because of my PTSD (the short reason) and they eventually fired me.
Honestly, I don't know why they ask the question about your previous earnings. I don't understand how the ammount of money you make affects your ability to work. My OIF/OEF Veteran case worker mentioned that the VA should find me unemployable due to my service connected disability becuase it is the reason I lost my job.
