Should I bring copies of my CP exams as well as VA psych doc's progress notes, or should this go directly to the determination department. The copies of the CP's that I had were less than a month old, not sure why they want me to see their doc. Is this a red flag for denial? Can you tell I'm anxious now, thought I had a good case. thanks more vent than questions I guess.

I would bring the records with me and see if the doctor takes them. I don't think it is a red flag for denial. It is just SOP. They want to get a look at you.

Do both! Send copies to the VARO (or whomever is deciding your claim); and bring copies for the C&P Examiner. He os she may or may not want to read them, but you can leave an extra copy for the examiner and tell them to go ahead and file them in your VA medical records. Like John said, SOP, standard operating procedure. I don't know what your exam is for, but you might want to look at Disabilitiy Exam Worksheets (below); identify your disability --and take a few notes. ~Wings

Is what you have a copy of an examination or a Compensation and Pension exam order by the VA? There is a different exam for PTSD than for other mental conditions. Exams done at the medical center is not alway C&P exams.

No. The VA has their own exams. Read yours. ~Wings

I'm sorry Wings my brain is not what it used to be, I don't understand what you are asking me. I have read my award letter many times.

I am simply asking you to read the VA Requirements for your up and coming C&P Exam. This way, when you are being examined, you will have some idea of the questions both you and the examiner are trying to answer.
