@  Asiadaug : (16 November 2014 - 02:07 AM) Thanks. I Have Seen The Fast Ltr 10-35 And Have Seen Cases Where The Va Has Apparently Agreed That Tinnitus Can Have Delayed Onset. I Did Not In Looking Over The Fast Ltr See Where They Had Ruled 10-028 Into That. And, I Am Not Sure In The Vas Issuance Of ‘policy’ Type Letters How They Might Roll In Previous Instructions Into Newer Ones. Maybe There Is Some Intranet Traceability Capability? I Was Just Curious As There ‘appeared’ To Be Conspicuous Absence Of That 10-028. I Am Assuming 10-028 Was Written In 2010. But It May Be I Should Not Assume Anything.

I'm 40% S/C right now. I was wondering if i should enroll into voc rehab? I haven't worked since the end of 07, ptsd gets the best of me on a daily basis. I honestly don't think it will help me. I've applied for IU, got denied that, but have an appeal in. Any advice?

If you get rejected by Voc Rehab that will help your IU claim. If not you get training and education. That can't hurt.

Ditto on what carlie & John said. Also, if your approved for schooling, they will pay you extra money a month while attending. What's also nice about it is you can get dental care as if your 100%. But like John said, if they think your unemployable, that would help your appeal for TDIU. Either way it'll be beneficial. How are you making it not working since 07, are you on SSDI or retirement?

I would echo the same thing the rest are saying. If you think you can do it go for it. I was in Voc rehab for a couple of years until my health started to go downhill. I was declared infeasible for employment, and like the others said that was a major factor in deciding my TDIU claim. I was 40% like you and was bumped up to 80% based on that. Good Luck.

Well, Voc Rehab said i'm a no go for the program due to my disabilities. So what's that mean for me now?

The counselor said voc rehab is not for, but said if i wanted to i could still use my post 9-11 GI bill for school? I tried school once and had to quit because it was to much stress for me with what's going on day to day. What kind of miracle does he expect me to pull out of my hat to try again, i swear these people try to steer ya every which way but right! Will they send a letter saying voc rehab was denied?

This time they steered you in the right direction by suggesting your unemployable, which means exactly what John just said..TDIU
While your waiting for your appeal, you need to get the copy of the unemployable statement from voc rehab and have it submitted into your c:file so they can review it as part of your evidence. That is, if you havn't already done so. I wouldn't waste any time getting it submitted either!
