@  Asiadaug : (16 November 2014 - 02:07 AM) Thanks. I Have Seen The Fast Ltr 10-35 And Have Seen Cases Where The Va Has Apparently Agreed That Tinnitus Can Have Delayed Onset. I Did Not In Looking Over The Fast Ltr See Where They Had Ruled 10-028 Into That. And, I Am Not Sure In The Vas Issuance Of ‘policy’ Type Letters How They Might Roll In Previous Instructions Into Newer Ones. Maybe There Is Some Intranet Traceability Capability? I Was Just Curious As There ‘appeared’ To Be Conspicuous Absence Of That 10-028. I Am Assuming 10-028 Was Written In 2010. But It May Be I Should Not Assume Anything.

I checked ebenfits today and my recent claim that was granted, is on there 2/28/12, but under open claims it has 2/28/12 and Administrative Review. I did talk to cvso about appealing, but I told him I wanted to go and get IMO, before filing for increase on 4 gastro things. Dont I have to initiate the process first, I dont understand, its going to be 3 weeks for my doc to get opinion together. Thank you for help

Others will probably have the full technical answer, but it is possible for the VA to initiate a claim on your behalf. If you mentioned something you were not addressing at this time but may in the future, or they read your claim and file and found something you should have been rated for they can "infer" a claim for you. I'm really not sure how much I understand this, but it has happened twice to me. The first time, I killed it because I was happy with my rating. This time, since no one can tell me what the claim is for, I fell as though I have to let it ride and see what happens.

Thanks for reply, region rep called today said all my claims were granted at the most they could do, I like how va examiners can put whatever they want on questionaire, put mild symptoms on everything when I stated severe stomach pain at times and vomiting basically for gerd it would of been 30% alone not figuring the other 3. My two cents on eBenefits: I would not trust that information as being current. Best to call the 1-800-827-1000 line and talk to a real person. My VSO says eBenefits is a great concept, but got the "go live" before it really should have. There is a reason the 1-800 number lines are jammed all the time!!

Rep at region said nothing was outstanding or on admin review, ebenifits still says on open claim, preparation for decision. I wonder if they are reviewing the comments I made the week of decision, maybe those didnt make it to rater in time for consideration?

800 - 827-1000 just takes you to a call center.
Their job is to clear the calls and get you off the
line quick.
They are actually less accurate than ebenefits or iris.
