Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin removed top officials at the Manchester VA Medical Center hours after reports of health care deficiencies and allegations of negligence were reported..
In the aftermath of the Globe story, Shulkin sent an email to top elected officials in New Hampshire that the issues were “new to me,” but the documents show he was copied on correspondence about the problems 10 months ago.
A letter dated Sept. 13, 2016, describing concerns at the Manchester VA from U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen was sent to then-Manchester VA Director Danielle Ocker and copied to Shulkin, who was undersecretary of health for the VA at the time.
The letter said there were “significant concerns with the quality of care provided at the hospital.””

It seems likely, probable, most certainly, come on are you kidding me of course he knew. The whistleblowers, the email, the widespread nature of it and he wants us to believe that the first he’s heard of it is when it appeared in the The Boston Globe – if it was the first he heard of it, it seems incompetent.
