Missouri WWII vet exposed to mustard gas finally has his say

World War II veteran Arla Harrell is believed to be the only Missourian still living after being forced to participate in mustard gas experiments as a young enlisted man. Sen. Claire McCaskill is working to gain Harrell and other veterans benefits for their government-imposed suffering.

  • While suffering from pulmonary problems, skin cancer and other ailments, Arla honored his word.
