This is not a quiestion but a post on my RAMP journey since not much data is out there.
On the 1st of February I received in the mail the option to opt into RAMP for my legacy appeal.
As my Legacy appeal from 03/2014 had been pending with no status updates other then NOD received (I do have a lawyer). The appeal timeline suggested I still had years before it would be handled and it was likely my appeal had slipped through the cracks.
i contacted the VA to verify if evidence I had submitted since 2014 would still be accepted and used if I opted for the Higher Level Review. They verified that the evidence would be accepted.
And so on February 8th I opted in to the Higher Level Review with the informal conference option selected through my attorney.
On February 26th my legacy appeal was closed and my RAMP appeal started. Today is the 14th of April As of March 20th only the informal conference remains to be scheduled and happen before a decision is rendered. The average appeal has been decided under 45 days with a goal of no appeal taking longer than 4 months.
I will post on this thread as updates occur.
