The Veteran Enrollment Rework Project was initiated by the Department of Veterans Affairs in an effort to address a backlog of more than 500,000 veterans with pending health care enrollment applications.Since March, VERP has enrolled 27,000 veterans. Another 28,000 have been found ineligible, said Topeka-based Matt Eitutis, director of VA’s member services.
